Audemars Piguet Introduces 6 New Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon Timepieces This Month

Audemars Piguet, the Swiss luxury timepiece, has just launched a limited edition of six new Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon models in 18-karat white and pink gold on 38.5-mm cases set with a variety of graded coloured gemstones and diamonds.

Each of the 38.5 mm watches is powered by an AP calibre 2951 hand-wound movement with a minimum power reserve of 77 hours. The new watches are water-resistant up to 20 metres, and they include glare-proof sapphire crystals and case backs.

Tantalizing Rainbow Design:

The new collection features two rainbow timepieces that include up to 12 different varieties of colourful gemstones. One model features a diamond-set case and dial, as well as a bezel set with baguette-cut gems in rainbow hues, while the other is fully set with brilliant-cut multicoloured gemstones.

Jaw-Dropping Gemstone Designs: 

Four models include graded blue sapphires, while two others tick the rainbow box that most luxury and fashion watchmakers have made a desirable component, with amethysts, rubies, emeralds, tsavorites, tanzanites, and topaz.

Hundreds of meticulously chosen diamonds, sapphires, and other colourful stones are placed in the cases, bezels, dials, and buckles. Even the tourbillons are adorned with 9 brilliant-cut sapphires or diamonds, which is difficult to do with such a light and vital timekeeping component. 

Every diamond adorning the new watches was painstakingly carved and polished to make a particular shape before being put in gold by an expert jeweler's hand to accentuate the watch's distinctive pyramidal dial embellishments and catch the light.

2 Significant Strap Options:

They come with two strap options: a big square-scale blue alligator strap and a blue rubber strap with a constellation design that seems to be tone-on-tone pixels.

Previous Flying Tourbillon Model:

Earlier this year, the Flying Tourbillon debuted a Black Panther-themed watch with a black and purple colour scheme, the brand's first item to come from its new relationship with Marvel. Hundreds of meticulously chosen diamonds, sapphires, and other colourful stones are placed in the bezels, cases, dials, and buckles.

Global Availability: 

The 225-part hand-wound manufacturing calibre 2951, with a 77-hour power reserve, and power reserve indication, flying tourbillon, powers the open-worked watches. The four pieces set with brilliant-cut gemstones will be available this month at select Audemars Piguet locations, with the two baguette-cut variants following in 2022. Both of the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillions in blue will be available next year at select Audemars Piguet shops. The other four watches with brilliant-cut jewels will be offered in limited quantities in October in specific locales.
